Los Angeles – Los Angeles Staple center will soon have a new name.

According to the New York Times, the iconic sports facility where the Lakers, Clippers and other teams will be played will be called Crypto.com Arena from December 25th. The center’s owner and operator, AEG, announced the 20-year naming contract with the cryptocurrency platform in a press release early Wednesday.
Known as the creative capital of the world, the city of Los Angeles and the people who call it home have always pioneered, pushed the boundaries and innovate as the undeniable global leaders in culture and entertainment, “Kris Marszalek, Crypto.comCo-founder and CEO of said in a statement. “We are very excited about the partnership with AEG and the long-term investment in this city, starting with Crypto.com Arena in the heart of downtown and are using our platform in new and creative ways so that cryptocurrency can fuel the future of world-class sports, entertainment and technology for fans in LA and around the world. “

This will be the first name change for the venue, which has been called the Staples Center since it opened in 1999, news outlets reported.
