The 2022 recruitment cycle is well underway as the early signing period approaches as some of the best high school football players across the country continue to make their respective college decisions known.
In the week that ended November 13 through November 19, there were 17 players signing up for a Power Five college football program, including 13 potential candidates in the 2022 class and four subclasses. Of the players who signed up this week, one is rated a five-star prospect and five are rated a four-star prospect, according to the industry-created 247Sports Composite.
The list of Power Five schools that made at least one commitment this week includes (in alphabetical order): Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Louisville (2), Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma State , Texas A&M, Texas Tech (2), USC, Utah, Washington State, and Wisconsin.
It should be noted that oral promises are non-binding and potential candidates in Class 2022 cannot make them official until the Division I early signing phase, which begins December 15, 2021 and ends December 17, 2021. Those who opting not to sign in the early period can do so on National Signing Day on February 2, 2022.
